About:

I experience artwork as what some people refer to as "prayer" or "meditation" because it brings my awareness fully into the present moment. When I am creating, it is like there is no separation between me and the canvas. The resulting artwork is full of life and vibrant color. Because I give a lot of attention to nature, mystical Judaism, environmentalism, and the "divine feminine", my artwork often takes on these themes.

I live in a small intentional community called EcoHouse, which has the goal of not producing ANY trash at all. We avoid purchasing items that come with packaging, reuse containers instead of recycle, and compost what we can. Everything else gets disinfected and categorized for the purpose of being recreated into ART.

EcoHouse is a small "urban farm" that is a cross between a communal EcoVillage and a glorified group house with a focus on sustainability and growing edibles. For more info about our community, check out our EcoHouse facebook page.

In addition to making art + being a stay-at-home mom to my awesome toddler daughter, I also teach art/sustainability workshops for a local non-profit called Scrap Exchange. I teach others how to make all sorts of useful things from reused + recycled materials, and how to reduce your waste in general.
